Lecrae calls out music industry on national radio show
Two-time GRAMMY award-winning rapper Lecrae has no shame in pushing boundaries to challenge the negative music industry that surrounds our culture and did so this week during his interview on the “Sway in the Morning” radio show. “If you wanna make a record about animal cruelty, they’re not going to play that… if you wanna make a record about hurting your own people and selling drugs to them, then they’ll let us play that.” Lecrae goes on to hint that only certain music will get airtime and as a result, the wholesome and restorative music of Christian HipHop/Rap will not get played. “When kids get used to eating candy, they don’t wanna eat good food.”
