twenty one pilots is delaying the release of their “Clancy” album to May 24th

GRAMMY award-winning duo twenty one pilots came out on social media this week to announce that they are delaying the release of their highly anticipated album Clancy by one week to May 24th. The original was supposed to drop on May 17th, but lead singer Tyler Joseph explained in a recent video that they need a little more time to put together a music video for each song on the project.

I’m so glad they delayed it, not because I don’t like their work, but because the alt charts would likely have been overtaken by Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” releasing May 17. Pushing the release a week back not only gives them more time to make the videos they need to make, but also makes sure they’re not washed out that week.
